Firefly 2022

Original post author: Ryan

In late September 2022, Jessica and I trekked to Delaware for the Firefly music festival. This was our first time at Firefly! It was different than most of the other music festivals we‘be attended - and we had a great time!

Despite it being a four-day festival, we only attended on Friday and Saturday due to work constraints. We drove from Boston, which was weird for us because we are accustomed to packing all of our camping gear into luggage for air travel. Plus, we bought a “glamping” package that included a pre-set-up tent and bedding - which was great, by the way.

We met up with our friends Abby and Amanda. Abby (Abco) was on the artists lineup, and she played an excellent set from The Nest stage on Saturday. The Nest was one part tree house, one part concert stage. Abby got us Artist Guest passes, which gave access to all sorts of amenities, including special staff viewing areas.

There were many highlights, but one that sticks out in my memory was seeing Green Day up close - very close - too close?

We had a blast!

Will we ever go back to Firefly? Yes, we hope so! But, it’s a more music-centric festival than the others we frequent. So, I think we would want to go when the lineup suits our preferences.
